Huskies get visit from Saunders

Multiple sources are reporting that former Fresno State receiver, Jalen Saunders, visited the University of Washington over the weekend and could be close to making a decision on where he will land...

Joe Davidson from the Sacramento Bee tweeted early this morning that Saunders visited Washington over the weekend.

As a true sophomore last fall, Saunders was a First Team All-WAC performer hauling in 50 receptions for 1,065 yards and 12 touchdowns.

"Fresno State is where Jalen wanted to be since high school, but there was a change of philosophy and a change of coaching staff that he no longer felt comfortable being there anymore," Walter Saunders, Jalen's father, told the Fresno Bee earlier this month. "He's been frustrated. Jalen does not fit in their new style of ball. He felt like that even if he stuck with it, he wouldn't progress."

Saunders would need to sit out the 2012 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but then would have two years of eligibility remaining should he sign with Washington.
