Pleasant Grove HS DT Nick Terry (Elk Grove, CA) picked up an offer from Boise State last month and will take his third official visit this weekend as he'll be in Boise to watch the Broncos battle San Diego State. The Broncos are a strong contender for Terry's services, but could the upcoming visit put Boise State over the top?

"I'm going up there this Saturday," he said. "I'm very excited. I've spoken to Coach Petersen and Coach Avalos a lot over the last 4-5 weeks. They said I'm one of their top D-linemen and that Boise is a place I could come in and possibly play early."

"They both seem very genuine," he stated. "They don't just tell me things to get me to their school. They've been following my season and always know who we're playing next. I get 'good luck' messages almost every week from Coach Petersen."

"I like how they get after the ball on defense," said Terry. "They play with aggressiveness, excitement, and that's what I like to do."

He went on to say that he considers himself a Bronco fan.

"I've always been a fan of them," he said. "Basically, I think it just comes from watching them on TV growing up. I always saw that blue field and it really grew on me."

"How I mesh with the coaches will be important," said Terry. "Also, the overall school and see if I could see myself living there for the next 4-5 years."

He will take an official visit to Oregon State after his trip to The Blue and says he plans on making a verbal commitment just after his senior season.

"Basically, I'm going to finish my season and then decide," he said. "Hopefully, we'll be making it to the playoffs but I'll sit down with my parents after the season and then we'll decide," he added.

Terry and his teammates are 6-3 and have a big game against Folsom coming up this week. He says it will take their best game to get by Folsom and get that win.

"They're undefeated," he said. "On defense, we're definitely going to have to get pressure on their QB. Our weakness on defense has been stopping the passing game. They throw the ball on almost every down. We've got to get after the QB and get some stops."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Nick Terry.
