‘Dogs Sweep UNLV

Foster records a double-double

Kevin Foster scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in his final regular season game as Fresno State secured the 7th seed in the 2013 Reese's MW Basketball Championships with a 61-52 win over UNLV Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas. It is the first time in school history that the Bulldogs have swept the Rebels in a season…

Fresno State shot 47% (9-of-19) from beyond the arc with Kevin Foster hitting 6-of-9. The Bulldogs pulled off their most impressive win the Rodney Terry and arguably the most impressive win since the ‘Dogs upset No. 14 Oklahoma State in 2002.

Fresno State entered Saturday's contest as 14-point underdog. The Bulldogs were guaranteed a rematch with the Rebels in next week's 2013 Reese's MW Basketball Championships with a loss. The ‘Dogs will avoid a third game with UNLV if Colorado State beats Nevada this evening in Fort Collins. The ‘Dogs lost both games to the Rams this season.

FS completed its first-ever season sweep over UNLV that dates back to the 1980s when both schools were members of the Big West (PCAA) and again in the 1990s in the WAC.

If CSU loses this evening, FS will play UNLV next Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
