Former Duke quarterback Brandon Connette tweeted Wednesday morning that he arrived in Fresno for his visit to Fresno State.

Connette has one year of remaining eligibility and will be eligible for the 2014 season after transferring after earning his degree from Duke. Connette is looking to transfer closer to his Corona, Calif. home for the 2014 season after his mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2013.

If he were to choose Fresno State after his visit, it adds a huge factor in the Bulldogs' quarterback competition - a competition that the team just spent a month of spring practice trying to sort out. Connnette adds four years of experience from his time at Duke and proved to be a threat with his ground game in the ACC.

Connette ran for 31 touchdowns in his career with the Duke Blue Devils and passed for 1,212 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. Connette maintained a role in the Blue Devils' offense all season though he started three total games and passed for double digit attempts in five games. He also completed 62.1 percent of his pass attempts.

Stay tuned with BulldogPlaybook.com to see if Connette decides to be a Bulldog for the upcomming season.
