Father Wants Son to Be a Bulldog

"I would really like him to go to Fresno State, were he can play for a good team and be close to home."

Hayworth Hicks (6-3, 333, 5.1), a Scout.com three-star offensive lineman from Palmdale, Calif., has recently received an offer from Arizona Western, according to his father, Robert Sr.

"Leading up to Letter-of-Intent Day, it is looking like he will sign with Arizona Western," Mr. Hicks said.

"I want him to be local, but I want him to have a good opportunity. Arizona Western has a good program and their academics are really good as well. They are looking for him to play defensive tackle.

"I would really like him to go to Fresno State, were he can play for a good team and be close to home. They haven't offered him anything, but I'm going to give them a call today or tomorrow."

Hicks has a 2.6 GPA and is awaiting his new test score.
