San Ramon (Calif.) TE David Gory was poised to have a big senior season, until he an injury ended his high school career last summer. Despite the injury, the once much heralded prospect is still getting attention from DI schools including Fresno State. He talks about his first official visit...

San Ramon (Calif.) TE David Gory (6-4, 250) had an early offer from Washington until he tore his ACL last summer. The Huskies, along with Oregon, are still recruiting him, but both will have to beat Fresno State for his services after Gory's recent trip to Fresno.

"It went really good," Gory said about his trip to Fresno State.

Is Fresno State your solid No. 1?

"I think so," Gory replied.

The Bulldogs are recruiting him as a tight end, and Bulldog TE Ryan Skidmore hosted Gory. "He's a really cool guy," Gory said of Skid.

While the Bulldogs did not offer Gory on his trip, he feels it could be coming soon.

"They said they are still finalizing some things," Gory said. "Coach Hill is going to give me a call Tuesday. I feel I am going to get offered."

He said the Bulldog coaches did not go into detail on how or when he would play.

"I'm not sure [about redshirting or not,]" Gory said. "It depends how I do in spring [and fall camp.]"

Gory has an official visit scheduled this week to Air Force.
