Despite the efforts of Bulldog seniors Eddie Miller and Kevin Bell, Fresno State could not not keep up with the WAC's hottest team, Boise State. The Broncos, who entered the game leading the NCAA in field goal percentage, scored 90 points for the third straight game.

Eddie Miller and Kevin Bell led the Bulldogs, who overcame a double-digit deficit late in the game to force overtime. Bell knocked down two key free throws that sent the game to the extra session.

Broncos' Reggie Larry scored 27 points, including the winning layup with 6.1 seconds left in overtime, and Boise State rallied to defeat Fresno State 90-89 on Monday night.

Tyler Tiedeman added 23 points for Boise State (15-5 overall, 6-2 Western Athletic Conference), which erased a four-point deficit in the final 13.5 seconds of the extra period.

Miller scored a career-high 30 points for Fresno State (10-11, 3-4), including 20 in the second half. Bell added a career-high 26 but missed a potential winning layup in the final seconds.

With Boise State trailing 89-85, Brian Bauscher hit a clutch 3-pointer with 9 seconds remaining in overtime to pull the Broncos within one.

After Hector Hernandez's inbounds pass glanced off Bell's fingertips near midcourt, Boise State took possession under its own basket. Despite defensive pressure, Tiedeman found Larry in the paint for an easy score.

Bell drove the length of the court in the final seconds, but his layup attempt rolled off the rim just as the final buzzer sounded.

Larry, the WAC's leading rebounder and third-leading scorer, also had 16 rebounds, three steals and finished 3-of-6 on 3-pointers.

Matt  Nelson added 15 points for Boise State. Bauscher scored all six of his points in overtime, hitting two 3-pointers in the final 1:17.

Miller, who had 27 points in Fresno State's 75-68 victory over San Jose State on Saturday, finished 7-of-21 from the field and 11-of-12 from the free-throw line. Hernandez added 16 points for the Bulldogs, including two 3-pointers in the final 1:46 of regulation.

Fresno State shot 43.9 percent from the floor compared to 50 percent for the Broncos, who moved into a virtual tie with Utah State atop the WAC standings.

After the Bulldogs trailed by as many as nine points in the second half, Bell sent the game into overtime by hitting two free throws with 3.5 seconds left in regulation.

The Bulldogs led 40-34 at halftime after closing the period on an 11-2 run. Bell scored six of his 10 points during the surge and found Hernandez for a corner 3-pointer with 35 seconds left.

Miller added 10 first-half points for Fresno State despite missing his first four 3-point attempts.
