![]() Bryan Robinson talks after Monday's practice.
|
Cincinnati Bengal DE Bryan Robinson visited Monday afternoon’s practice. The former Bulldog (1995-96) addressed the team afterward and gave the DL some pointers as well. He wore No. 96 during his two years at Fresno State, and one of the things he did was seek out the current No. 96 DE Wilson Ramos. BB.C caught up with Ramos after practice and asked him about his meeting with Robinson… | |||
He was not drafted in the 1997 NFL Draft, but he did sign a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams. He spent two-years in St. Louis, but he made a name for himself in the league during his five-year stint with the Chicago Bears (1999-03). He is in his 12th season in the NFL, the last four with Cincinnati. His success at Fresno State and his struggles to make it in the NFL were part of his message when he addressed the Bulldogs after Monday’s practice. One such player listening was Wilson Ramos. Like Robinson, Ramos was recruited as a DE but moved to DT. However, due to injuries, Ramos moved back to DE last season, and he is likely to remain there for the rest of his career at FS.
Ramos told BarkBoard.com he had no idea Robinson wore No. 96 until he came up to him at practice. He says he is taking on more of a leadership role this season, and he is aiming for all-conference honors as well.
