Fresno (Calif.) Edison WR Rolando Jefferson is a member of Scout.com's Top 100, and is Fresno State's top offensive recruiting target for 2009. Rolando Jefferson (6-2.5, 200), aka Bubba, is coming off a dynamic junior season. He caught 40 balls for just under 1,000 yards, averaging nearly 24 yards per reception, with 11 touchdowns while sitting out the second half of most games. Edison QB Jerry Davis tried spreading the wealth among Jefferson and the Tigers three other top targets, Rashaun Schaefer, Jermiah Carter, and John Tate.

Jefferson is a member of Scout.com's Top 100, and is arguably the top receiver in the West. He earned all-state honors, and he was named a Fresno Bee all-star in 2007. The rising senior took an unofficial visit to Fresno State Saturday after the Bulldog's second scrimmage of the spring. The Bulldogs remain high on his list along with Clemson, Georgia Tech, Arizona, USC, UCLA, and Utah.

Jefferson is extremely athletic. He can play both sides of the ball, including quarterback. He played in just one game last season on defense (safety) because the Tiger secondary was loaded with CB Robert Golden, FS Brandon Leslie, CB Cliff Harris, and SS T.J. McDonald.
