The trip to the Rose Bowl will be Fresno State's first since the 2000 season. The Bulldogs and Bruins have met seven times, with Fresno State winning the last contest, 17-9, at the 2003 Silicon Valley Football Classic. Fresno State lost to the No. 16-ranked Bruins 24-21 in its last meeting at the Rose Bowl. "We are excited that ABC has elected to pick up this game and put in on Saturday afternoon," said head coach Pat Hill. "A Saturday afternoon game at the Rose Bowl with all of its pageantry and history will be a terrific showcase for our team and our program." The Bulldogs open the season with three of the first four games on national television. Fresno State's game at Rutgers on Labor Day will kickoff at 1:30 p.m. PT on ESPN. The September 13th home opener against Wisconsin will either be on ESPN/ESPN2 or ABC. The 'Dogs play at Toledo on September 20. Fresno State's last ABC televised matchup was October 29, 2005 at Hawaii. The 'Dogs won 27-13. 2007 Fresno State football season ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase UCLA game tickets as part of their renewal process. Beginning Tuesday, May 6, the Bulldog ticket office will take orders for all road games for the 2008 season.
