After rain delayed the College World Series a day, Fresno State had three days to prepare for their next game. The 'Dogs are back in action tonight and will play North Carolina at 4 p.m. PT on ESPN. FS beat the Tar Heels, 5-3, Tuesday night to move atop Bracket 2. If the 'Dogs win Saturday night, it will advance to its first ever CWS Championship Series.

A severe thunderstorm rocked Omaha, site of the College World Series, Thursday night causing a postponement of the LSU vs. North Carolina. The 'Dogs return to action against North Carolina and need one win to advance to the national championship series. The Tar Heels have reached the championship series each of the last two years.

Georgia plays Stanford in the other game on Saturday that begins at 11 a.m. PT on ESPN.

Fresno State opened the series with a 17-6 over No. 6 Rice on Sunday and beat the Tar Heels 5-3 on Tuesday to earn a 2-0 record in Bracket 2.
