Ryan Mathews set the bar for all future incoming Bulldog freshman running backs. As a true, he just fell short of becoming a 1,000-yard rusher finishing with 866 yards while missing most of the last five games of the year with various injuries.
He set a freshman mark with 14 rushing touchdowns, and with a year under his belt, the sky is the limit. BarkBoard.com caught up with Mathews after Tuesday's summer practice. He tells us the season is not coming fast enough...

Mac Users: If your computer cannot run the videos, and you are running OS X, have the new Flip4Mac plug-in installed, and have Windows Media Player 9 for OS X installed, you must do the following: Open System Preferences, click on the Flip4Mac green icon down in the "Other" section of System Preferences, click on the "Plug In" tab and UNCHECK the "Use Flip4Mac WMV Internet plug in". Close Safari if it is open. Launch Safari again and try the video again. It should fail with a "Safari can't display content on this page" error offering to try to view it with WMP for OS X. Click OK and WMP should launch and successfully play the video.
