Terrance Kindle (6-3, 220) was receiving interest from Fresno State and Houston. But his interest in California played out in the end as he committed to Coach Pat Hill and the Bulldogs.
“He gave [Fresno State] a verbal commitment,” Kindle’s mom, Cynthia Jones told BarkBoard.com on Wednesday. “[The Bulldog coaches] are supposed to be getting together with him shortly.”
"Coach [Pat] Hill called me Sunday night and said he was offering," Kindle said Wednesday night.
Kindle says he feels strongly about sticking with the first school that offered him. He also says he is looking forward to playing with former teammate Chase McEntee. Despite the distance from the Houston area, Kindle says it will not be a problem for family to see him play.
"Fresno State is right in the middle of Oakland and L.A.," said Kindle. "I have family in both and my mom can come out and see me when she wants."
He is Fresno State’s fourth known verbal commit of the 2009 class, and the first not from the Central Valley. The Bulldogs continue to recruit the state of Texas for the third consecutive year. In 2007, FS signed one player from the Lone Star state. This past February, FS signed three players from Texas.
