The Bulldogs trailed 2-0 but stormed to a 28-point lead late in the first half en route to a 46-22 halftime lead.
Fresno State shot 50.9% from the field in spite of shooting 5-of-21 from beyond the arc. Bryce Cartwright added 13 points and 8 assists. He started his second straight home game in place of Dwight O’Neil, who did not play.
Houston Baptist’s Gordon Watt scored a game-high 23 points. He scored 21 of those in the second half when the Huskies cut the Bulldog’s lead down to 16.
