All-State defender commits to 'Dogs.

Fresno State head coach Pat Hill stated he would offer 16 scholarships for the 2009 Bulldog football recruiting class. On Tuesday afternoon, BB.C confirmed through a source the ‘Dogs 16th verbal commit of the 2009 class is an all-state standout defender. Furthermore, a Northern California media outlet reports he will sign his National Letter of Intent to Fresno State on Wednesday…

Sacramento (Calif.) Grant linebacker Jeremiah Toma (6-0, 215) will sign his National Letter of Intent to Fresno State on Tuesday as reported in the Sacramento Bee on Tuesday.

BarkBoard.com learned earlier on Tuesday that Toma had verbally committed to Fresno State from a source close to the situation. However, academically he will have some work to shore up before he qualifies.

Toma is a second team all-state selection leading the Pacer defense with 165 tackles and 10 sacks. He helped Grant to the D1 state title in 2008.
