Toma Signs Completes Class

Jeremiah Toma

Sacramento (Calif.) Grant linebacker Jeremiah Toma is another recruit that comes from a great program. In fact, he is the fourth Pacer to sign with the Bulldogs in the last three years. Toma's National Letter of Intent was the last to be received and verified at the Fresno State football office completing the class of 17 recruits…

Jeremiah Toma (6-0, 215) had 165 tackles and 10 sacks in 2008, both team highs. He led Grant to win over Long Beach Poly 25-20 in the state title game at the Home Depot Center in December. The Pacers finished No. 6 in the nation in the USA Today Super 25 Poll.

"When you watch Jeremiah he reminded me of Marcus Riley while at Elk Grove High School," said Fresno State Head Coach Pat Hill.

"He's a playmaker on the field and closes to the football. He's a hard hitter and tough and physical. He was the leader of the defense of one of the best high schools teams in America."
