Fresno State head coach continues to mine the Valley for diamonds in the rough. And the Bulldogs latest commit seems to fit the mold.
Bakersfield (Calif.) Highland linebacker John Oglesby (6-2, 225) verbally committed to Fresno State early this week as reported by the Bakersfield Californian.
"We're excited about it," Highland head coach Tim Hartnett told the Californian. "He's got a few hoops to jump through academically, but we think he's going to get there."
This is the third consecutive year Hill has tapped into the South Valley school to nab a player.
Two years ago, Fresno State signed standout Scots receiver Anthony Johnson. Last year, the 'Dogs signed linebacker Pat Su'a.
In 2009, Oglesby recorded 104 had seven sacks for 2-10 Highland.
He is third player from the Valley to verbally commit to the Bulldogs in the 2010 class and the fifth known commit overall joining Jalen Saunders, Sean Alston, Lester Fontenette and Edward Dillihunt.
