Isaiah Burse (5-11, 180) verbally committed to Fresno State, the Modesto Bee reported Tuesday evening. Burse took his official visit to Fresno December 11-13. The following week, he single-handily led Modesto Christian to the CIF small school state title rushing for 139 yards and a touchdown and had 89 yards passing with three touchdowns in the 44-40 win over San Diego Francis Parker.

Burse is a dynamic player his ability to make an impact at multiple positions on both sides of the field. In the spring, BarkBoard.com witnessed him compete as a quarterback at the Elite 11 regional camp in Berkeley on a Friday afternoon. The two days later, we saw him perform him as receiver at the Stanford Nike Camp. He looked good at both positions at both camps.

He is slated to play slot receiver at Fresno State, with the possibility taking snaps in the Bulldogs' alien package. It's very similar to current Bulldog wide receiver Rashad Evans' recruitment two years -- a talented athlete slated by many to play defensive back that commits to the 'Dogs over BCS offers.

Burse chose Fresno State over offers from Arizona and Kansas State.
