"A lot of schools are coming by or have been by and they checked us out and they liked what they've seen," said Lopa.
Lopa played next to elite defensive tackle Viliami Moala last fall, and put together an all-section junior season, helping lead a Pacers defense that pitched six shutouts.
All of Lopa's offers come from schools in the West.
And he's still hoping for a few more, namely from Pac-10 schools.
"I want one from Oregon, I really like them. Cal would be nice too, I like their d-line coach, Coach (Tosh) Lupoi. And I like USC and UCLA a lot too and I'm hearing from them. I like the Pac-10, I really like the Pac-10," said Lopa.
Lopa said that most schools see him as a defensive end in college.
"That's pretty much what everyone is saying, defensive end," said Lopa. "Washington State said I could probably come in and start at defensive end and Washington said they like my size for end."
Lopa said four schools were standing out for him.
"My top four is Oregon, Cal, USC and Stanford," said Lopa.
Lopa doesn't see his recruitment ending anytime soon.
"I want to go through the process, and wait till next year around Signing Day to decide," said Lopa.
As a 2009 junior at Grant, Lopa had 100 tackles, 20 sacks, recovered six fumbles, forced three of them and blocked four punts. He was named All-Conference and All-SacJoaquin Section and the Metro Conference Defensive MVP on a unit that shutout six opponents.
