‘Dogs Land UCLA Transfer Knox

Milton Knox will be a Bulldog.

As reported by BarkBoard.com earlier this week, Milton Knox loved his Monday visit to Fresno State and was close to making a decision. "I can see myself as a Bulldog," he said. On Friday, the former UCLA Bruin and four-star recruit, made it official. He is transferring to Fresno State…

Milton Knox (5-8, 203) signed with UCLA out of Los Angeles Birmingham High School in 2008 after a tremendous prep career. He redshirted in 2008 and played sparingly mostly in the "wildcat" package in 2009. Despite having a good spring, he looked to transfer this season for an opportunity for more playing time.

He named Fresno State and Utah as his top choices after obtaining a release to talk with potential schools last month. The Utes showed early interest. But they asked him to walk-on, which wasn't an option.

On Monday, Knox visited Fresno State. "I loved it," said Knox. "I liked everything about it. I can see myself as a Bulldog."

But more importantly, Bulldogs head coach Pat Hill offered him a scholarship, a rarity for D1 transfers under Hill.

"I just want a chance to play and Coach Hill kept it real with me. I love that. It's all I can ask for."

Knox must sit the 2010 season to fulfill NCAA transfer requirements. He will have two years of eligibility remaining starting in 2011.
