Former Fresno State forward Paul George selected 10th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2010 NBA Draft on Thursday evening. He is the highest NBA draft pick in Fresno State history…

Paul George fulfilled his dream on Thursday becoming the newest member of the Indiana Pacers. Indiana drafted George 10th overall during the 2010 NBA Draft.

With the ability to play three positions on the court, George saw his draft stock rise in the last few weeks. He was one of just 16 players selected to be in New York for Thursday’s draft.

Last season for Fresno State, George averaged 16.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.2 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 42.4 percent (154-363) from the field and 35.3 percent (122-308) on 3-pointers. He completed the best single-season free throw percentage (120-132, 90.9%) in program history.
