| Turnovers Kill 'Dogs in Loss

Fresno State was outscored 46-27 in the second half in an 84-65 loss to Creighton in the Las Vegas Classic on Monday night. The 'Dogs shot nearly 50% from the field but could not overcome 21 turnovers, which led to 24 Bluejay points. Paul George led FS with 21 points. Dwight O'Neil added 16 points... BOXSCORE Fresno State (6-6) held its biggest lead at five points in a first half that saw the lead change seven times. The Bluejays opened the second half with a 10-3, leading by double digits over the game's final 10 minutes. P'Allen Stinnett and Woodfox hit consecutive 3-pointers to extend the lead to 64-50 that ballooned to 21 points with two minutes remaining. CU made 20 of 25 free throws and shot 57% in the second half. It only had one turnover in the second half and out-rebounded Fresno State 36-28. Booker Woodfox had 24 points and Kenny Lawson Jr. added 15 leading Creighton (9-2) to its sixth straight win. The 'Dogs will play St. Louis in the consolation game at 4:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday night.
