| During his senior year, was named all-area Defensive Player of the Year by the Bakersfield Californian and was named League Defensive Player of the Year and his team's defensive MVP. Had 87 tackles and 16 sacks.
Recorded 117 tackles and 15 sacks en route to all-section and all-state underclass honors in 2006. Was a First Team all-League and First Team all-Area pick and team Defensive MVP. Recorded a sack in 12 of 13 games.
As a sophomore, he was an all-area defensive end and team defensive co-MVP as well as Newcomer of the Year.
