Poe has busy summer ahead

Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral quarterback M.C Poe is one of the more under-rated signal callers in the region. He's set for a very busy summer camp season ahead.

M.C. Poe had a solid junior season a year ago throwing for 1,475 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has a good frame, about 6-3, 180 pounds and moves well in the pocket. He's a smart, cerebral kid who knows where to go with the ball and is accurate in the pocket and rolling out.

Hawaii was the first offer for Poe and several other schools are showing strong interest as well.

"I was very excited to get that Hawaii offer, it's always big to get your first one," Poe said. "I talked with Coach Chow and he's a great guy and a great coach obviously. I definitely want to try and get out there for a visit this spring or summer if I can to check things out.

"I'm planning on doing several camps and I'm still working out the dates on those. I want to visit California, Washington State, Arizona, Indiana, UNLV and Kentucky. I was supposed to visit UNLV this weekend with my mom but something came up and I had to cancel. I do plan to get out there later for sure though, probably a camp."

Poe said he would like to make an early decision but it won't come until after his camp visits.

"Yeh I want to hopefully land a few more offers and then evaluate everything," Poe said. "I'm open to everyone right now and all of these schools sound interested. They all said they want to come and see me throw in the summer at my high school so that will be big for me."
